HMD Guest Series: AYLS
We asked fellow collaborator AYLS to send over a couple songs she can't stop playing. Here's what she gave us!
AYLS is a LA-based songwriter and singer. Check out her latest release with HMD, “Fetish (HMD Re-Edit)” on Soundcloud and Spotify.

Sabrina Claudio - “Unravel Mel”
I just discovered Sabrina Claudio and now I overwhelmed by envy, which for me is my highest form of praise. I love everything about what she’s doing. Her voice is effortless, but the music and arrangements are complex.
HAIM - “That Don’t Impress Me Much” (Cover of Shania Twain)
I loved this song when it was first popular with Shania Twain, and I find this HAIM cover to do it justice. The acoustic version brings it some new life, and the sound is rich and organic.
Nsolo - “Hush”
Just stumbled upon Nsolo on Soundcloud; he’s got a great voice and vibe. Looking forward to hearing more from him.
Niia - “Hurt You First”
This track is funky and incredibly artful. Niia is one to watch as she has been making a name for herself the last few years with thoughtful, beautiful, jazz-inspired music.
James Vincent McMorrow - “Surreal”
JVM is a staple in my rotation. I covet his falsetto and secretly wish it were mine. I love the reverb in this track; it adds so much space and drama to what seems like a simple arrangement.
